Warranty and Guarantee

The option to take out an extended warranty is no longer limited to new vehicles. With AutoCheck TOP insurance, any owner of a used car younger than 15 years with a maximum of 250,000 km on the odometer can obtain it.

AutoCheck TOP is an insurance programme designed for owners of used passenger cars who do not want to deal with unexpected repair costs for their newly purchased vehicle. We offer our clients 3 variants of insurance programmes for used cars, which provide different levels of coverage depending on the age of the vehicle and the number of kilometres driven at the time of signing the insurance contract.

AutoCheckTOP Gold, Silver or Bronze can be taken out for used motor vehicles up to 3,500 kg, which meet the following criteria at the time of signing the insurance contract:

GOLD maximum 5 years 160,000 km

SILVER maximum 10 years 200,000 km

The insurance period is 6, 12, 24 or 36 months. The warranty is concluded and becomes effective on the day of the vehicle's sale.

Optional mileage limit

Optional annual mileage limit: 15,000 km / 25,000 km / 30,000 km / 50,000 km or unlimited km. The total mileage limit is a multiple of the annual limit and the insurance period and represents the maximum number of kilometres driven during the insurance period. The warranty expires when the insured vehicle reaches the total mileage limit during the insurance period.

Optional excess

AutoCheckTOP insurance can be arranged with or without excess. The amount is optional at 5,000 CZK or 10,000 CZK. This amount is the insured's contribution to the costs of each approved repair of the insured vehicle.

AutoCheckTOP Bronze

Engine: all internally lubricated components of the engine. For example: the rocker arm assembly including hydraulic lifters, intake and exhaust valves (not carbonised, burnt or damaged valves), springs and guides, cylinder head (not cracks and removal of carbon deposits), cylinder head gasket, valve push rods, camshaft and lifters, timing gears and chains (excluding the tensioner), oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder liners, connecting rods, piston pins and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, bushings and internal bushings. External engine components: intake manifold, flywheel, toothed ring. Timing belts are covered only if the last proper belt replacement has occurred within the interval recommended by the manufacturer.

Manual transmission: all internally lubricated components of the transmission. For example: synchroniser clutches of internal gears, shaft selectors, bearings, bushings and transmission gears.

Automatic transmission: all internally lubricated components of the transmission. For example: internal shafts, gear sets, clutches, brake bands, valve block, regulator, oil pump, bearings, bushings, drive plate and transmission gears.

Continuously variable transmission (CVT): all internally lubricated components of the transmission. For example: internal clutches, planetary gears, reduction gears, shafts, variable pulleys, drives for the pressing elements, bushings and bearings.

Torque converter: failure of any internal mechanical component.

Differential: all internally lubricated components of the differential. For example: internal ring gear and pinion, gear sets, shafts, bearings and bushings, pressure plates, spacers.

AutoCheckTOP Silver (in addition to Bronze)

Engine: turbo unit.

Clutch: pressure plate, clutch release bearing, master and slave cylinder.

Brakes: main brake cylinder, wheel brake cylinders.

Drive system: all lubricated components inside the gearbox/differential. Half shafts including homokinetic joints, universal joints and couplings, propeller shaft including joints and couplings, mechanical components of 4x4 drive.

Electrical installation: engine starter, alternator, turn signal relay, wiper and washer motors for front and rear windows.

Fuel system (diesel and petrol): feed pump including fuel reservoir. Engine cooling system: water pump, viscous fan coupling, thermostat and thermostat housing. Steering (including power steering): steering rack and pinion (excluding boots), steering gear housing, pump, power steering reservoir.

AutoCheckTOP Gold (in addition to Silver)

Engine: electronic engine control unit.

Clutch: clutch release fork.

Brakes: brake booster, ABS sensors.

Electrical installation: motors and switches for controlling side and roof windows, central locking, heater fan motor, distributor, horn and multifunction lever switch.

Fuel system: mechanical and electric fuel pumps, suction pump, fuel level sensor, injectors.

Engine cooling system: engine and oil radiator.

Air conditioning (factory): air conditioning compressor unit.

When purchasing a used vehicle, the buyer is undoubtedly most interested in the condition of the vehicle and the warranty provided on the used car. Unfortunately, most buyers mistakenly interpret the concept of statutory liability for hidden defects in used goods and consider this liability to be a full warranty comparable to the warranty provided when selling a new car.

VINFOTO serves to document the current condition of the vehicle at the time of signing the insurance contract. Thanks to this photographic documentation, you will avoid potential disputes with the insurance company during future claims processing. Both you and the insurance company will have the original condition of the vehicle accurately and truthfully captured through a set of digital photographs.

PROVIN is used to verify whether the given vehicle originates from the stated country of origin and whether it has not been stolen abroad.

VINTEST is a comprehensive check of the originality of the vehicle identifiers aimed at verifying whether any unauthorized changes or other interventions leading to a new identity of the vehicle have been made to the vehicle and its identifiers. It is based on a physical inspection of the vehicle.
